Last Wednesday at around 2:15 p.m. a woman seeking narcotics threatened to blow up the CVS Pharmacy in the Shaw’s Plaza in North Windham.
The woman said she had a bomb in her purse and demanded the pharmacist empty the contents of the narcotics drawer into a bag and give it to her. According to police, the pharmacist on duty told the woman to leave and refused to hand over the drugs. The woman left and store employees immediately called police.
Windham police say they have several suspects under investigation.
According to employees’ recollections, the woman is about five feet, two inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. She is described as having a hunchback, and wearing glasses. She has brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and a pink sweater with herring-bone weave.
