Red Storm grapplers had an exceptional Regionals at Marshwood on Saturday morning, Feb. 6, with three boys earning top-four honors and a trip to States.
“The team had a great performance,” said Storm Head Coach Deron Sharp. “We’re sending three wrestlers to States!”
Assistant Coach Mike Cyr echoed Sharp: “Saturday was full of great performances. Three wrestlers for States is a program-best for Scarbrough.”
Sophomore Jeremy Sendrowski – State Champion last year – finished third at 120, defeating Caleb Frost of Bonny Eagle in a major decision, 13-4. Teammates Aren Dickman and John Stolz both finished fourth: Dickman, at 195, lost to Patrick Saunders of Kennebunk, a pin at 2:23, and Stolz, at 170, succumbed to Austin Locke of Marshwood, 4-2 in double-OT.
Scarborough’s other wrestlers: Dave Undlin (106), Kynthia Green (126), Elijah Holbrook (138), Mike Libby (160) and Lincoln Andrews (285).
States unfolds on Saturday the 13th at Noble.
