Rehab

Elsie Haskell of Nash Road had back surgery at Maine Medical Center on Feb. 21. After spending a few days there she was sent to Brighton for a few weeks of re-hab.

Veterans

Robin Shepard, the State of Maine Veterans Advocate, will be at the Windham Veterans Center located behind the Windham Mall on Wednesday, March 8. He will be there from 9 to 11 a.m. assisting veterans in applying for benefits. There is no charge and no appointments are necessary.

Birthday

Barbara Strout, Windham Center Road, celebrated her birthday on Feb. 26. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Birthday Party

Shane Eastup, son of Ed Eastup of Windham and Michelle Eastup of Standish, celebrated his tenth birthday on Feb. 17. He had a party at Happy Wheels with 10 friends and they all had a great time.

Back from FLA.

Riley Young is back from Florida and attending school in Windham. He says he likes the school here much better. He is staying with family.

Trips

Bruce Bryant of Tandberg Trail and his grandson, Brandon, just returned from snowmobiling. They spent a great week in Caribou. Bruce’s wife, Biny Bryant, left for Florida Feb. 23 to spend a week with her cousin.

Birthday

Carroll McDonald of Oak Lane celebrated his birthday March 1. He spent the day with family members.

Visits

George Libby was here from New York for a few days over the weekend of Feb. 25 and 26. He stayed with his mother, Beulah Mason and her husband Wes of Varney Mill Road. While here he attended a going-away party for his cousin, Freeman Sprague, who is going to Iraq. Freeman is the son of Tanya Reardon. George also visited with his brother, Richard, who is a patient in Stevens Hospital in Norway.

Hannah Gallagher, Albion Road, celebrates her birthday today, March 3. Her mother, Bridget Gallagher, celebrates her birthday March 17. Cathy Wardwell, Swett Road, celebrates her birthday March 18 and Cathy McPherson, Pope Road, celebrates her birthday March 19. Happy birthday to all!
