Bistro 21 opens

A new restaurant opened in Westbrook last week.

Owner Melissa Cooledge said Bistro 21, 21 County Road, said hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5-9 p.m. Saturday.

Bistro 21 features lunch, dinner and children’s menus. The chef is Brentton Mathieu.

Luce named to bank post

Michelle Luce has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Westbrook branch of Maine Bank & Trust.

Luce joined the Bank in January of 2000 as a teller in the bank’s main office. In May of 2000, she was promoted to head teller at the Westbrook branch. She was promoted to the assistant branch manager/loan officer in 2004.

Prior to joining the bank, Luce was the branch operations supervisor at Fleet Bank.

A resident of Sebago, she graduated from Medomak Valley High School in 1992 and went to the University of Maine at Orono.

Luce volunteers at the Mission Possible Teen Center in Westbrook and is a member of the Westbrook-Gorham Rotary Club.

Westbrook High School Class of 1992 will be holding its 15th reunion on Saturday, July 14. There will be a family event held during the day at Wassamki Springs campground and an “Adult’s Night Out” that evening at The Stockhouse Restaurant & Sports Pub.

Benefit yard, garage sale

The Sodality of St. Anne is sponsoring a benefit yard and garage sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday at 316 New Portland Road.

Marilyn Foster, president of the Sodality of St. Anne,

said the sale, which benefits the needy, would be held rain or shine.

“There’s something for everyone in the sale, which white elephant, rummage, home knits and crafts, at prices you can’t resist,” Foster said.

Firefighters challenge Sox alum

The Firefighters All Star Team will play Boston Red Sox alumni in softball at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at Fraser Field.

Westbrook Firefighters Presumpscot Hose Company No. 1 is sponsoring the charity game with the assistance of ECMG. Opportunities for autographs and photos with celebrities will be available.

Tickets, available on game day, are $10.
