The Westbrook American reported on Aug. 1, 1962, Sgt. 1st Class William and Rose (Mains) Butler and their son, Billy, were spending a 28-day leave with her sister, Mrs. Edwin Strout, Gray Road. The Butlers had been stationed in Germany three years.
