What is your position with the city and how long have you been on the job?
I am the public safety secretary. I do reception at the front window. I handle all the people who come in and direct them to offices. I also handle other inside things like payroll and other human resource things.
What is your background? Where did you go to school?
I started here last July. I was in the military for four years directly out of high school. I got a degree from Andover College and I’m currently attending the University of Southern New Hampshire. I like to collect degrees.
What kind of duties does your job entail?
I handle mainly the financial responsibilities. I do the receivables, handle payroll. I answer phones and direct people when they come in.
What is the most likely way that your job causes you to interact with the general public?
Well, if you come to the public safety building during the day, I’m the first person you’re going to see.
What do you like most about your job?
The reception part. I like working with the people who come in and helping them out.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have a little boy, he’s four, and I like to spend time with him.
