Scarborough senior Jason Quirk works out Monday night at the Portland Boxing Club.

Last Saturday, Quirk beat Tyler LeBlanc of Nashua, N.H., with a TKO just 46 seconds into the third round in the quarterfinals of the Northeastern Regional Boxing Championship at PBC Saturday night.

Quirk, who also plays on the Scarborough Red Storm football team, is 4-0 as a novice welterweight. He won his previous fight against Boston’s Dennis Kelter 56 seconds into the third round with another TKO.

Quirk will fight again this Saturday, Oct. 21 at the PBC in the next round of the regional championships.
