I am writing this letter in support of Alex Stone as a candidate for one of the at-large seats on the Westbrook City Council.
While watching City Council meetings and Finance Committee meetings over the past two years I’m sure viewers have noticed, as I have, that Alex shows a clear understanding of the needs of the city and how to look at a budget that is both forward looking and realistic. He asks tough questions of both the administration and the council and has good ideas about how to continue moving our city in the right direction.
Although we usually attend these meetings if there is a specific issue of concern to us, Alex has attended most of them because of his interests in issues that affect not only a neighborhood or one section of the city but the city as a whole.
In our conversations with Alex, my wife, Beverly, and I have been impressed and feel he deserves our support.
On Election Day, Nov. 8, we will be voting for Alex Stone because we feel he will be a great addition to the City Council and we encourage our friends and fellow citizens to join us in voting on Nov. 8 and electing Alex Stone councilor-at-large.
