Rep. Gary Moore, R-Standish, recently announced the formation of the Gary Moore for Standish Group to guide his re-election bid for the Maine House of Representatives.
Moore is currently in his second term representing Standish. He has served on the Joint Standing Committee for Legal and Veterans Affairs during both terms, and as lead Republican on the commitee.
Rebecca Buchanan, of Standish, is Campaign Coordinator and Treasurer of the Gary Moore for Standish Campaign. Becky is Customer Relations manager for Gorham Savings Bank.
“There is no single reason which prompts me to seek re election,” Moore said. “Taken together, the reasons include an agenda of what I consider to be unfinished business, such as addressing the drinking water arsenic levels; unfair telephone rate setting and control in Standish; stabilizing school funding levels for SAD 6 by blocking continuing efforts by Frye Island to go back on their promise and legal agreement to fully participate in funding the schools as a condition of withdrawal from the Town of Standish; and assist in developing and supporting a solid economic development plan for our town.”
