The Safety and Health Council of Northern New England will be holding a free program entitled “Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls” at its Westbrook office at 160 Larrabee Road on July 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees will learn the skills to recognize and assess slip, trip and fall hazards and recommend corrective actions that will prevent slips, trips and falls in the workplace.

This one-day program, facilitated by experienced safety professionals, will help participants identify the impact of slips, trips and falls in the workplace; recognize the various types of slips, trips and falls; understand the OSHA guidelines and requirements; recognize hazards at their workplace; conduct a baseline evaluation of their organization; select controls for their organization relating to slips, trips and falls, and identify things they can do when they return to the job to prevent slips, trips and falls.
