This aerial photo of Cumberland Mills was taken in the early 1950s. The upper part of the photo shows a portion of the S. D. Warren Company. Prominent in the photo is the Warren Congregational Church, built in 1869 on Cumberland Street at Warren Avenue. The building to the rear of the church was demolished to make way for a parish hall that was built in 1957. The city of Westbrook purchased both buildings when the Westbrook and Warren Congregational churches merged. The Warren Church was demolished, and the parish hall served for many years as the Westbrook police station.
