The photo on the left was taken in 1960 and shows Main Street when Brackett Street once connected to it. The church is the Westbrook Congregational Church which was built in 1832. Brackett Street ran between it and the building to the right, which was the Brackett Block built around 1810 by Zachariah Brackett. Urban Renewal demolished both of those buildings and closed off Bracket Street between Main Street and William Clarke Drive. The photo on the right shows the same area today.
