Cape Elizabeth High School students were sent home last Thursday after a water main was damaged during site work being done in front of the school. The accident caused the high pchool, the Donald L. Richards Pool and the Community Services building to lose water pressure. Principal Jeffrey Shedd said students were sent home at 9:15 a.m. because of concerns with sanitation issues. Water pressure was restored by 2:15 p.m., in time for the regularly scheduled public swim at the pool that evening, and students returned to school Friday morning.
