The guest speaker at the regular monthly meeting of the Lake Region Shrine Club was Maine State Representative Gary Plummer who represents parts of Gray and Windham.

He gave a complete report of the recent activities of the Legislature and their efforts to establish a budget. Plummer answered many questions posed by the members.

The Shrine Club meets at Charlie Beiggs for a dinner meeting the third Tuesday of each month. They are planning their Annual Lobsterbake on August 20 at Otter Pond in Standish. For further information, please call either President Frank Koenig at 892-4948 or Secretary Gene Sturgeon at 892-6506.
