On the job-Brenda Gouzie
What is your position with the city and how long have you been on the job?
I am a customer service representative at City Hall and have been for about six months now.
What is your background? Where did you go to school?
I was a childcare provider at Koala Child Kare Learning Center for about four years. I went to Southern Maine Community College where I took early childhood education and medical assisting courses. I also worked for a time at Bank of America as a teller.
What kind of duties does your job entail?
Mostly I process vehicle registrations, tax payments and licenses.
What is the most likely way that your job causes you to interact with the general public?
Being a customer service representative, I interact with Westbrook residents all day every day.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy talking with people, so I’d have to say working with the public.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m a big fan of the Red Sox, so I like to watch their games. I also like camping and hiking and traveling, and spending time with my friends and family, of course.
