Banner year at Artforms
Artforms, 90 Bridge St., marked a milestone on May 11 with more than $3 million in sales for the year.
It’s the earliest the company has passed that mark in its 18 years. “A tremendous amount of growth in the past five years,” said Artforms spokesman Kurt Turner.
The company designs and produces screen printed and embroidered garments. Its product line includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and hats. Its products are shipped all over the United States and in the Caribbean. “The resort markets are huge,” Turner said.
Recent annual sales total about $7 million and customers include LL Bean. T.L. Kropp, Artforms production manager, said the company has 47 employees in addition to 12 sales representatives and three art designers.
Artforms has been on the top floor of the former Dana Mill for six years. It previously was on Riverside Street.
