The 15th annual Richard Nickerson Scholarship Concert will take place on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m. in the Windham Performing Arts Center at Windham High School. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors and are available at the door; no reservations required.
Windham’s most talented alumni will present a variety of choral, classical, Broadway, jazz, R&B, and country music guaranteeing something for everyone. Featured performers include Annelyse and Michael Atkinson, Richard Bicknell, Logan Burns, Alyssa Carroll, Christy Comeau-Pierce, Dimitra Corsetti, Emily Davis, Grant Dodge, Casey Hutchinson, Jazmin DeRice, Molly Keane-Dreyer, Janelle LoSciuto, Sarah Nickerson, Georgia Noonan, Molly Olsen, Mia Foley-Perron, Michelle Sawyer-Houle, Rachel Scala, Eoin Sinclair, Jessica Thompson, Ben Toppi and The Side Notes. Concert accompanist is Victoria Stubbs, and production manager is Janelle LoSciuto.
The Richard Nickerson Scholarship was established in 1997 by parents of Windham Chamber Singers students in appreciation of Windham High School Choral Director, Dr. Richard Nickerson, following the Windham Chambers Singers recognition as world champions in choral competition in Vienna, Austria. Since its formation, the RNS Committee has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to 18 graduating seniors pursuing music studies as part of their college experience.
In the event of a snow/ice storm, the concert will be rescheduled for Sunday, Jan 6 at 2 p.m.
