Allard family reunion

Many of the descendants of the late Lucie and Ralph Allard Sr. gathered at the home of Dana and Janice (Allard) Sanborn on Oct. 10 for a family reunion.

Janice Sanborn’s sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Van Catterton Jr., were visiting from Florida, so Sanborn planned the surprise during their stay. Jody Catterton believed that she was helping to plan a 50th birthday party for one of Sanborn’s friends.

Coincidentally, one of the first guests to arrive was a cousin, Pamela (Allard) Smith, who was to turn 50 the following week. So Jody Catteron thought it made sense that she would be there. When the rest of the relatives started to show up, the surprise was over.

Those who attended included Catherine (Allard) Fernald; Kim (Fernald) and John Ramsey with daughters, Amy and Michaela; Ralph Allard Jr.; Jim Allard; Helen and Phil Allard Sr.; Martha (Allard) and Jono Bolte with their six children, Ben Bolte and girlfriend, Melissa Sylvain, and Doug and Kim Bolte with daughter, Abbie, and Katie (Bolte) Shepard with children Austin Bolte and Leah Shepard, along with Marcie, Marybeth and Jimmy Bolte.

In addition to the Cattertons and the Sanborns with children Kyle and Kaitlyn, others attending were Becky and Phil Allard Jr. with daughter, Heather; Pam (Allard) and Larry Smith with daughter, Jennifer Smith, and granddaughter, Kiera Smith; Mark Smith, son of Kathy (Allard) Smith, who was unable to attend as were her other children, Ashley and Eric.
