The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation’s first and largest classroom refresher course designed specifically to meet the safety needs of experienced, mature drivers. It is an eight-hour class designed to help drivers learn more about defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, rules of the road and much more. It also helps older drivers learn how to adjust their driving to age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time.
Also, under a law in the State of Maine, drivers 55 years of age and older who complete this course are eligible for auto insurance discounts. More information may be found on the Web site at home.earthlink.net/~drivesafe-me.
