Meeting
The Rebekahs will meet Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Hall. They will observe “Obligation and Roll Call” night. Beulah Mason and Elsie Haskell are in charge of refreshments.
Library
Remember to visit the Windham Public Library to view the display of Russian lacquer and wooden painted boxes. They will be there through Feb. 24. This is a collection of Louis Sinclair’s of Windham. He started collecting on a trip to Moscow in 1988. Also on display are items used in creating the boxes.
Home
Lane Hiltunen is now home after spending a short time in the hospital. He had a surgical procedure done.
Birthdays
Bob Bouchard celebrated his birthday Jan. 29. He and his wife, Mary, enjoyed a quiet evening at home. His sister, Rose Burke, celebrated her birthday Feb. 2. Her husband, Foster, took her out and they enjoyed a very nice dinner at one of Rose’s favorite restaurants.
Meeting
The Windham Drifters will meet Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at the East Windham Fire Station.
Recovering
Ed Varney is home after spending more than a week at Maine Medical Center. He had several tests, pneumonia and some other health problems. He is glad to be home and is doing much better.
Birthday
Robert H. Adams, of River Road, celebrated his 84th birthday Feb. 1. He went to dinner at Thatchers Restaurant with his granddaughter Jamie Potter and her friend, Rick Haley. It was a birthday dinner for both Robert and Jamie because her birthday will be Feb. 12.
