Sweetser is in need of volunteers and mentors. The opportunities range from one-time activities to on-going responsibilities, including office support, maintenance duties, special event workers, to mentors for the children served.
The most immediate need is for mentors to work with children on a continuing basis. You can spend an hour or two a week, or every other week with a child and make a tremendous difference in their life. The following child is looking for someone with similar interests to spend time with:
Boy, 13, Steep Falls, enjoys the computer, playing basketball, watching TV, swimming and playing.
Boy, 11, Windham, enjoys sports, playing outside and riding his bike.
Girl, 14, Windham, enjoys playing games, riding her bike, swimming, drama and using the computer.
Boy, 12, Gorham, enjoys bike riding, outdoor activities and one-on-one attention.
Boy, 13, Gorham, enjoys sports especially football, track and lacrosse.
Boy, 7, Bridgton, likes playing games, sports and bike riding.
Boy, 14, Casco, enjoys basketball and being outdoors.
Boy, 7, Sebago, enjoys playing sports, bike riding and swimming.
Boy, 13, Sebago, likes swimming, boating, watching movies and playing video games.
