The Westbrook Police are searching for the person who apparently lost a large amount of wooden decking material on May 28.
Capt. Tom Roth said police found the building materials dumped in the road on Route 302 near Pride Street at about 1:30 p.m. on May 28.
Police have placed the material in storage and are now looking for the rightful owner to come and claim their property.
Anyone who thinks this material might belong to them is asked to call Roth at 854-0644, extension 406. Roth said callers should be prepared to describe the material and the amount that was lost as well as show a receipt to prove ownership.
