Jacque Doyon’s class at George E. Jack School has been having much fun learning and doing. The students have been working with Claudia Bales, Occupational Therapist for SAD 6. This is one of the many horticultural therapy programs she has planned for this year.

The garden was planned by the students. The theme for the garden is a butterfly garden. Plants were chosen which will attract butterflies and hummingbirds next year.

Organizations and businesses have contributed to the butterfly garden. The George E Jack PTO contributed money. O’Donal’s Nurseries, Inc. supplied plants and compost. Chris Bales (Products Manager) from Earthlife Products arranged and delivered the compost. Don Tanguay from the school volunteered the tiller and did all of the ground work and tilling for the garden.
