South Portland resident John Brady is running unopposed for a five-year term as Cape Elizabeth and South Portland’s representative on the Portland Water District Board of Trustees.

Brady, an international trade consultant, just completed a yearlong stint on the board after he ran successfully last year for a seat vacated near the end of its term. That was his first run for public office.

Brady has a long history in business management and prior to running for the seat on the board last year served several years on South Portland’s Board of Appeals.
