Coffee house discounts, day trips, bingo and wellness walks are among programs now being offered by Scarborough Community Service’s Senior Center Without Walls (WOW) program.

Every Tuesday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., the Freaky Bean Coffee Co. on Route 1 is offering a 10 percent senior discount on all food and drinks. All seniors are welcome.

Registration has begun for the fall Community Services senior trips. Call 730-4150 for more information and registration. A trip on Thursday, Sept. 13, will take seniors to the Owl’s Head Transportation Museum, where they can explore transportation history, including original and replica aircraft, automobiles, bicycles and much more during a two-hour tour. The bus will depart the lower high school parking lot at 8 a.m. Cost of the trip is $15.

Fridays starting at noon, thanks to the generosity of State Manufactured Homes and the Desfosses family, bingo will continue to be held at the Hillcrest Recreation Center, 108 Hillcrest Ave.

Seniors can walk Saturdays, Sept. 8-Oct. 13 (no walk Oct. 6), from

8 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m. Participants should meet in the lower Town Hall parking lot. Walks will take place on Scarborough trails and will be guided by Scarborough Wellness volunteers. The actual walks will take less than an hour. Transportation from Scarborough Town Hall will be provided weekly. Bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothing and shoes for walking outdoors in Maine’s early fall. In case of inclement weather, walkers will be provided transportation to the Maine Mall for before-hours use of the mall corridors.
