The Loon Echo Land Trust will be sponsoring a “Hike n’ Bike Trek” on Sept. 20 at the Shawnee Peak Ski Area in Bridgton.
The event will benefit the Loon Echo Land Trust, an organization dedicated to protecting mountains, fields and forests for recreation.
The “hike trek” is a six-mile hike along Pleasant Mountain’s ridge. Check in and departure for the hike will be from 8 to 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
There are three options for bike trek, the 25 and 50-mile treks get underway at 10 a.m. and the 100-mile century trek leaves at 8 a.m.
Registration for the event is now underway. Fees for the bike trek are $50 until July 1 and $65 thereafter. Youths 15 and under are $25.
