Mayor’s guest
The mayor’s live call-in program airs once a month at 7 p.m. channel 3. Each month, Mayor Bruce Chuluda invites a guest to appear on the show with him, and the public has the opportunity to call in and speak with them live on the air.
The next call-in show is Thursday, Jan. 29. Chuluda’s guest is Keith Luke, director of economic and community development.
Residents can call 591-6203 to speak with them on the air.
Schildroth on dean’s list
Lori B. Schildroth has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England in Biddeford.
She is the daughter of Beth and Michael Schildroth of Westbrook.
A 2008 graduate of Westbrook High School, she is a major in pre-pharmacy/biochemistry. Schildroth is active at the university in the Storm Surge Pep Band, and she is a founder and event coordinator of the Pre-Pharmacy Club.
Join party for inauguration
Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St., is hosting a Presidential inauguration party on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
“We’ll have the television on for the community to watch and discuss the historic event,” said Marian Peterson, assistant library director.
The library opens at 10 a.m. with the swearing in ceremony at 11:30 a.m. in Washington, D.C. The library said everyone is invited and encouraged those attending to wear red, white and blue.
Seniors to dine
Westbrook Senior Citizens will be served a beef tips meal at noon on Monday, Jan. 19, at Mill Brook Estates, 300 East Bridge St., Westbrook.
The dinner includes mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegetable with chocolate pudding dessert.
Singers Gloria Jean and Bobbie Lee will entertain.
The seniors will travel to Massachusetts to eat lunch at a Cracker Barrel restaurant on Sunday, Feb. 8. For more information, call 854-2705 or 854-2292.
Driscoll earns degree
Tina Driscoll, wife of Rep. Tim Driscoll of Westbrook, recently graduated from the University of New England, College of Health Professions, with a master’s degree in nurse anesthesia.
She has since taken and passed the National Certifying Board Exam to practice as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Driscoll has accepted employment within the Department of Anesthesia at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
