A Gorham woman, whom Bridgton police said in October was the driver in a single-car crash that claimed the lives of her son and another passenger, has been indicted by the Cumberland County grand jury.

Candice Tucker, 35, of Gorham, faces charges of two counts of manslaughter and two counts of aggravated criminal operating under the influence, the district attorney’s office released in a list of indictments on Friday, Dec. 5.

The two passengers, who died in the October crash, were Tucker’s son, Branden Denis, 16, and Eric S. Morey, 35, of Gorham. Denis, a Gorham High School junior, was a standout football player.

According to Bridgton police in October, the crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Oct. 19 on Route 302 in Bridgton when Tucker lost control of the car and crashed into trees.

According to the indictment information, manslaughter is a class A crime and aggravated criminal operating under the influence, class B. Tamara Getchell, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said on Friday that she did not have court date information available for Tucker.
