Bonny Eagle drama places second
The Bonny Eagle Drama Club performed “This is a Test” at the Maine Principals’ Association Regional Drama Festival at Windham High School.
The one-act’s cast and crew was chosen as alternates, winning the second place trophy in the festival. Four Bonny Eagle students were also honored. Jack Scannell was chosen as a member of the all-festival cast and Andrew Cardamone, Griffin Sherry, and Taylor Steeves received a special ensemble award. AJ Caron directed the one-act play.
The cast and crew of the Drama Club play “This is a Test”, included Katie Way, Gretchen Sjulander, Ashleigh Higgins, Justin Adams, Natalie Smith, Stephen Hilton, Andrew Cardamone, Tim Dupre, Alyssa Avery, Kyle Patnaude, Rebecca Bartlett, Jamie Barilone, Jack Scannell, Taylor Steeves, Gina Cardamone, Kate Downey, Max Davis, Sean McCarthy, Griffin Sherry, Ansel Hague, Stephanie Yum, Don Byrne, Anastasia Skibicki, Kyle Skillin, Breanne Boutillier, and Brian McCarthy.
Lambert, Perkins engaged
Philip and Beverly Ridley recently announced the engagement of their daughter, Jacqueline R. Lambert of Buxton, to Anthony A. Perkins, son of Beverly Perkins of Limington.
A July wedding is planned.
Youland attends leadership conference
Brandy Youland, a representative of AtHome America, Inc., attended a company leadership conference in January in Illinois.
“We learned so much valuable information about what it means to be a better leader and businessperson,” Youland said.
Youland has been with the home decorating company since 1999.
Magical history tour
Buxton Recreation Department and the Buxton Historical Society are sponsoring a bus tour of the town’s historical sites on Saturday, May 13.
The trip begins at 10 a.m. at the old Buxton Town Hall in Buxton Center. Chris Barstow, director of the Buxton Recreation Department, said the three-hour tour includes a light lunch, several stops at historic properties, historic villages and fascinating sites. “Leave with a new appreciation of the history of your town, ” Barstow said.
Cost of the trip, including lunch and transportation, is $15; $5, 12 and under.
