Despite this morning’s heavy rainfall, no roads in Westbrook and Gorham had been closed by noon, according to reports. However, catch basins in both communities have experienced difficulty in handling runoff.

Eric Dudley, director of Westbrook Public Services, said the city has had some minor flooding including some front yards of homes.

“So far, so good,” Dudley said.

While water was flying, traffic was still flowing about noon Wednesday on William Clarke Drive in Westbrook.
