Naples Public Library is hosting a series of four interactive Intermediate Bridge sessions. These sessions are aimed at players who have some American Standard Bridge experience and would like to bring their game to the next level.
The sessions will be held Mondays at 2:30 p.m. beginning on July 11 in the air conditioned comfort of the library’s Gathering Room.
The first session on July 11 will cover suit bidding including strong hands and the requirements to get to Game and how to bid it. On July 18, the focus will be No Trump opening bids and responses. The session on July 25 will cover preemptive opening bids (the Weak 2) and partner responses with preemptive interference bids. The final session on August 1 will cover overcalls, doubles, balancing and interference bids and responses
The instructor will be Richard Canton (TAP) of Bridgton.
Mr. Canton is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bridge player and instructor with many years experience. Participants are welcome to register as singles, partners or foursomes. For more information and to register please call the library at 693-6841. Register soon as space is limited.
