The names of the candidates seeking seats in the Legislature representing Buxton are set, as the deadline for submitting nomination papers for the June primary has passed.

Sen. Barry J. Hobbins, D-Saco, will be unopposed for his party’s nomination on the June primary ballot as a candidate to retain his Senate District 5 seat.

But Republicans will have a choice between Peter P. Throumoulos of Old Orchard Beach and Charity A. Kewish of Saco, both of whom are vying for the Senate District 5 seat held by Hobbins.

In House District 130, which represents part of both Gorham and Buxton, both the Republican and Democratic hopefuls are running unopposed on the primary ballot. The candidates are Rep. David W. Farrington, D-Gorham, and Republican Ryan H. Harnden of Gorham.

Rep. Don Marean, R-Hollis, and Democrat Bonita Breault of Buxton are seeking party nominations for House District 131, which includes part of Buxton and Hollis. Both Marean and Breault will be unopposed on the primary ballot.
