Engagement

Frank and Brenda Merritt of Sebago are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison, to Christopher Hurlburt. Chris is the son of Richard and Robin Hurlburt of Walpole, New Hampshire. Allison is a graduate of St. Michael’s College. She is employed by Immucell Corporation. Chris graduated from St. Joseph’s College and is employed by Frito-Lay. A September wedding is planned.

Meeting

The Rebekahs will meet Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall. This will be their Valentines party. They will make valentines for their secret pals and for three of their members who are now in nursing homes. Rita Carey is in charge of refreshments.

Windham Drifters

The Windham Drifters Snowmobile Club meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the East Windham Fire Station located on Falmouth Road. Their next club ride will be the Ricky Craven Ride in Greenville on Jan. 28.

Back Home

Riley Young is back home with his mother in Key West, Florida. He had been here for three weeks visiting with his grandparents and other family members.

To The County

Mark York and Megan Brown recently spent four days in Stockholm, Maine snowmobiling. They stayed with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Wardwell. They rode about 600 miles and one day rode to Allagash. The riding was great!

Reminder

A reminder that the Historical Society meeting on Jan. 28 is a different time, day and place. It will be at 2 p.m. at the Windham Public Library. You are asked to bring unique items, so no one can guess what is is, to stump the members and guests.

Pet Food

There will be a pet food donation day Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be held at the Kennel Shop in Shaws Plaza. For more information call Barbara Muir at 892-6096. All food donated goes to the Windham Food Pantry to help citizens take care of their pets.

Birthday

Luella Blanchard recently celebrated her 91st birthday. She is now residing at the Casco Inn. Happy birthday!
