Windham Drifters to hold appreciation dinner
The Windham Drifters Snowmobile Club will hold its annual Landowner’s Appreciation Dinner on Monday, April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Windham Community Center.
The club sends out formal invitations to over 150 local landowners requesting their presence at the dinner each year. Club officials say the dinner is a way to show their appreciation for these landowners.
“If it weren’t for the graciousness of these generous landowners, giving our club permission to traverse their property, the Drifters would not be in existence today,” club member Ken Carle said.
In the past, the club has had potluck suppers and homemade chowder nights. This year’s dinner will have an “Italian theme”, plus a homemade corn chowder.
