The Friends of the Scarborough Public Library are holding their annual Used Book Sale on the weekend of June 24, 25 and 26. This year, a tent has been added to accommodate increased inventory. Books will be on sale both inside the library and outside in the tent.

The sale’s hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., at the library, 48 Gorham Road.

Saturday includes a bake sale, and Sunday is “Buck a Bag” day.

Throughout the weekend there will also be an event marking the kickoff of the library’s “One Book-One Community” program, which will culminate in September with a series of activities around “Ernie’s Ark” by Maine author Monica Wood.

During the book sale weekend, people can observe or participate in an installation of a seven-foot ark on the library lawn.
