The South Portland boys soccer team opened with a tough loss Friday afternoon, dropping a 1-0 overtime decision to Thornton Academy in Saco.
The Trojans won the game on an Alec Luro goal at 1:36 of overtime.
The Riots were scheduled to take on Biddeford at home on Wednesday afternoon. The Riots will then take on the Gorham Rams at home on Friday evening at 6 p.m.

Like their counterparts on the boys squad, the South Portland girls soccer team opened up with a loss against Thornton Academy at South Portland on Friday.
The Trojans got the game winner in the second half on a Kaitlyn Hall goal.
South Portland got goals from Danielle McCusker and Jessica Aceto. The Riots were scheduled to take on Biddeford in a road game on Wednesday afternoon. The Riots will then take on the Gorham Rams at Gorham on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.
