Police said a Gorham woman was hospitalized for precautionary reasons following a collision with a pickup truck about 3 p.m. Sept. 27 at the intersection of Spring Street and William Clark Drive in Westbrook. Westbrook Officer Kurt Bosse identified the woman, who was driving a car, as Julie Williams, 65, of Gorham and the pickup driver as Christopher R. Knaus, 45, of Scarborough. Knaus wasn’t transported to a hospital, according to police. The accident, which snarled downtown traffic, closed the two eastbound lanes on the arterial between Church and Stroudwater streets for about 30 minutes.
