The Greely High girls and the Falmouth boys won last Friday’s Western Maine Conference championships. The Rangers scored 179 points to top York (142), Falmouth (123.5), and Cape Elizabeth (56) in the 13-team girls event. And the Yachtsmen scored 148 points to best Greely (109), Wells (83), Gray-New Gloucester (80), York (78.5), and Cape Elizabeth (53) in the 13-team boys’ field.

The Lake Region girls finished with 16 points thanks to Sauntee Braddock (fifth in the junior high jump), Lauren D’Ascanio (first in the junior shot put), and Taylor Kemp (fourth in the senior shot put).

The Lake Region boys were led by a sixth-place finish from Brandon Hall in the senior shot put and a sixth-place finish from the 4 x 800 relay team.
