This photo shows a six-horse hitch hauling a snowroller in Gorham Village at the intersection of present-day Routes 25 and 114. The building in the background now houses Amato’s. Snow on roads was packed down by rollers in times before snow plows. The date of the photo is unknown, as is the identity of the driver.
