To those of us that look at our expenditures with a critical eye, it seems incredible that we should be writing so many blank checks.
This morning a news bulletin came over the airwaves, how fortunate we the state, to receive a large sum of money, targeted for welfare food stamps, from the government. Although not much discussion was pointed that there was no increase in the recipients of food stamps!
The money appropriated would possibly exceed the amount needed, and the leftover money could be channeled elsewhere. This seems the nature of the beliefs in a time when our treasuries are depleted.
It seems to me the time has come when vital appropriations should be strictly observed. Each and every dollar spent carelessly cannot be reclaimed!
Taxpayers, let’s send a message at the polls – that it’s time to spend our money prudently.
While I see the little boy and girl standing without clothing or food – I contemplate the millions of dollars, that we as a nation spend, throwing mud at each other!
