4 – Consecutive plays Bonny Eagle’s defense stuffed Massabesic’s Joey Eon on the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter of Friday’s 16-7 quarterfinal win. The goal-line stand forced the Mustangs to turn the ball over on downs, sealing the victory for the Scots.

7 – The number of points allowed by the Bonny Eagle defense the last time the Scots played Deering. Bonny Eagle defeated the Rams by a 13-7 score when they met during the regular season. The two teams meet again on Saturday in the West A semifinals.

3 – Consecutive Class A football state championships. If Bonny Eagle wins this year’s state title – which would be the Scots’ third straight crown – they will be the first Class A team to accomplish that feat since Biddeford did it from 1965-67.

1 – The number of Windham cross country runners competing in Saturday’s Class A state championship meet in Turner. Kayla Phinney qualified for the girls state meet by finishing 13th at the Western Maine regional meet back on Saturday, Oct. 21.
