The Prides Corner/Congin Parent-Teacher Organization has finalized its 2006-2007 meeting schedule, which begins with a public meet-and-greet with executive committee members on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m., at the Congin School, 410 Bridge St.
The board will review the events and activities performed by the PTO over the last few years, and outline what to expect for the upcoming academic year, including several new programs and activities.
The PTO will meet at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month. Meetings will alternate site locations between Congin School and Prides Corner School, 375 Pride St.
Several guest presenters are planned, including Stan Sawyer, superintendent of Westbrook Schools; Jeanne Riley, director of Food Services; Sandy Hale, school health coordinator; and Randy Peters of the Westbrook Recreation Department.
The Prides Corner/Congin PTO is designed to assist the two schools with the academic enrichment of the students.
