Westbrook officials are meeting Monday to discuss ways the community can help the city’s homeless.
According to School Committee member Sue Bearor, in the last few weeks, local families with young children have slept in their cars. With the winter coming and no relief in sight for the economy, she said, this problem is only going to get worse.
Members of the public are invited to join representatives from City Hall, the City Council, Westbrook Housing and the School Committee Monday at 6 p.m. at Mission Possible Teen Center for an informal discussion of the issue and ways the community can help.
