My wife and I take our pen in hand to recommend Phil Bartlett for the Maine Senate. Gratuitous praise at campaign time is common, but we really like the guy.
While being a Harvard lawyer may not automatically recommend him, we are getting expensive legal advice in the writing of our laws at a very good price indeed.
Plus the fact that he is absolutely right in supporting the use of state funds for education, not only to ease property taxes but to make our community colleges available to everyone. It is the most important long-range goal with which Maine government should concern itself.
