Nina and Walter Braley of Standish recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with a 12-day cruise to the Mediterranean.

Also their family, Lu Ann McLaughlin, Charlene Fraser, Lisa Spearin, Cheryl Lavoie and Rodney Braley, honored them with a celebration at Keeley the Katerers in Portland.

The couple married on July 14, 1956, in the First Baptist Church in South Gorham.

She was an Avon district sales manager and he was the manager at the Animal Refuge League. They lived in Westbrook for 35 years.
