Summer vacation for schoolchildren will soon be upon us. How about the Portland Press Herald recruiting some of these young people for delivery? A bonus at the end of summer might keep them on the job. My sons delivered the paper before school. Others could do that, too.

I do not have a smartphone or a computer that gives me the news. I’m looking forward to better newspaper delivery service, which I haven’t had for a long time.
