Asja Kelman made three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points, while Lauren Hester got seven of her 10 points in the fourth quarter to lift Greely to a 52-48 win over previously undefeated Wells in a girls’ basketball game Saturday in Cumberland.

Hester hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 2:35 left, and Kylie Crocker sank 5 of 6 free throws down the stretch to clinch the win. Greely (2-4) outscored Wells 19-13 in the fourth quarter.

Payton Fazzina of Wells (5-1) led all scorers with 17 points. Maren Maxon logged 15 points and Megyn Mertens had 10 points.

CHEVERUS 61, DEERING 27: The Stags (5-0) opened the game with a 12-0 run, then started the second half with 21 straight points as they cruised past the host Rams (2-3).

Maddie Fitzpatrick scored 14 of her 31 points in the third quarter before going to the bench for good as Cheverus outscored Deering 21-2 to stretch their lead to 53-21.

Angelina Keo finished with 11 points for Deering.

SOUTH PORTLAND 48, PORTLAND 37: The Red Riots (3-3) outscored the Bulldogs by a 21-6 margin in the fourth quarter as they rallied for a Class AA victory in Portland (1-5).

Stella Henderson and Annie Whitmore each tallied six points in the fourth quarter. Henderson finished with 13, Whitmore scored 11 and Destiny Peter added 10.

Lucy Tidd paced Portland with 11 points.

BIDDEFORD 61, CAPE ELIZABETH 21: Hannah Smith notched a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Tigers (2-5) handled the Capers (0-4) in Cape Elizabeth.

Jordyn Crump added nine points and Gabby Smith and Riley Langevin each scored eight for Biddeford.

Grace Callahan and Mei Martinez led Cape with nine points apiece.

SCARBOROUGH 61, MASSABESIC 23: Caroline Hartley posted 18 points and Ellie Rumelhart followed with 17 as the Red Storm (5-0) rolled past the Mustangs (2-3) in Waterboro.

Catherine Daigle led Massabesic with 12 points.

FREEPORT 36, YARMOUTH 34: Freshman Abby Giroux scored 14 points, Emily Groves added 13, and the Falcons (4-2) held off the Clippers (2-3) after building a 12-point lead midway through the fourth quarter in Freeport.

Yarmouth got 15 points and 13 rebounds from Cate King.

OXFORD HILLS 38, BRUNSWICK 28: Gabbie Tibbetts scored 15 points, Ella Pelletier added 14, and the Vikings (2-1) held the Dragons (4-1) to 18 points over the final three quarters in a win at Brunswick.

Dakota Shipley led Brunswick with 11 points.

YORK 57, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 43: Emma Joyce set a school record with seven 3-pointers and finished with 23 points as the Wildcats (4-2) beat the Raiders (3-1) in York.

Marta Bajic scored 15 points and Mina Milosevic had 14 for Fryeburg.

LAKE REGION 60, LEAVITT 46: Ava Smith scored 24 points, Bella Smith added 16, and the Lakers (3-2) turned back the Hornets (3-2) in Naples.

Gabrielle Smith and Jordyn Boulay each had 15 points for Leavitt.

SACOPEE VALLEY 42, BOOTHBAY 21: Emma Boulanger dropped in 21 points, and the Hawks (2-2) pulled away from the Seahawks (1-3) with a 15-0 third quarter in Boothbay Harbor.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 47, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 45: Mariam DeLisle scored eight of her 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Eagles (5-0) rallied past the Falcons (1-3) in Rumford.

Brooke Brown led Mountain Valley with 17 points.

PENOBSCOT 6, PORTLAND 2: Jordin Williams scored in each period and Paige Oakes netted a pair of goals, leading Brewer/Bangor/Hampden/Hermon/John Bapst/Old Town/Orono (6-1) over Portland/Cape Elizabeth/Deering/South Portland/Waynflete (5-2) at Penobscot Ice Arena in Brewer.

Penobscot jumped ahead quickly, as Williams and Oakes scored just 26 seconds apart to make it 2-0 just 1:16 into the game. Meghan Delahanty increased to lead to 3-0 later in the first, and Williams put in a rebound early in the second.

The Portland co-op cut into the deficit on goals by Marina Bassett and Libby Hooper in the third period, but Oakes and Williams answered in the final 2:10.

BRUNSWICK 6, WINSLOW 3: Lauren Labbe scored four goals as the Dragons (4-3) defeated Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Messalonskee/Lawrence/Erskine/Maranacook (3-4) at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault in Hallowell.

Celeste Braillard contributed a goal and two assists, and Lily Calderwood also scored.

Katie Berard got all three goals for the Black Tigers, all on breakaways.
