Randall Scott Tibbetts
SOUTH PORTLAND – Randall Scott Tibbetts, 68, died unexpectedly Nov. 24, 2023, at his home in South Portland. He was born in Lisbon on April 22, 1955 to Milton Alonzo Tibbetts and Annette (Dumas) Tibbetts.
Randy was a graduate of Greely High School in Cumberland where until recently he was a life-long resident. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Southern Maine. Additionally, he earned a Respiratory Therapy Associate degree at Southern Maine Community College. Randy worked at a variety of jobs throughout his career, primarily in baking and food service.
Baking was his area of expertise, and he especially enjoyed sharing his creations with family and friends. An avid reader on the topics of food, gardening, science, and science fiction Randy was always eager to share his knowledge and perspective with others. During his younger years his pastimes included fishing, hunting, gardening, golfing, and bowling for which he received several trophies. He also enjoyed a number of long trips throughout the United States.
Randy was predeceased by his parents Milton and Annette Tibbetts; brother, Brian Tibbetts, and sister, Lisa Tibbetts.
He is survived by his sisters Donna Waddington, Elizabeth Larsen, and Becky Tibbetts, sister-in-law, Cindy Tibbetts; aunt, Laurette Chapman; seven nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and nephews.
A memorial service and interment of ashes will be held at Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth at a later date.
