Age Friendly South Portland needs volunteers to help shovel walks and mailboxes of eligible older residents who can’t do it themselves.

According to Age Friendly South Portland’s Susan Henderson, “requests for shoveling have grown. We need more shovelers to help these people. We ask each helper to commit to a single household for one of our seniors. Your work can help increase peoples’ safety and mobility so please consider helping us out.”

To volunteer or for more information, email shenders@maine.rr.com or call 207-799-6350 to talk with Sue Henderson.
