I am really saddened for the people of Maine as I read of the dreadful shootings in their state. My late partner and I were lucky to spend a week in that beautiful part of the world in 2016. This same tragedy occurred as we here in Christchurch are holding a long overdue inquest into our own mass shooting tragedy of four years ago. May the madness end.
